DeKalb breweries ask for support of senate bill on beer sales

Breweries in DeKalb County are asking residents to help local businesses by supporting a bill, currently in the Georgia legislature, that would allow more sales. Brian Purcell, CEO of Three Taverns Brewery, 121 New St. in Decatur, said he and others have been trying to get the word out about Senate Bill 63, which would allow breweries to sell up to 72 ounces of beer for consumption on location and brewpubs to sell 144 ounces, or a 12-pack of beer, per person per day to take home.  “...
