A5 Volleyball, the club volleyball organization based in Roswell, sent 12 teams to the USAV Girls’ National Championships held in Dallas. The event concluded July 6 and several teams had finishes that exceeded pre-tournament expectations. The 12-Grace team finished tied for 19th in the National Division, the best-ever finish within that category for an A5 team. Three other teams presented the highest finish-ever for an A5 squad in the National Division for their age groups; 13-Leah (26th), 13-Kelly (18th) and 14-Karen (31st).

The highest finish for an A5 team at the tournament was from 14-Suzanne, whose 10th place showing was the second-best ever finish for the club team within the Open division, the highest level within that age group. Team 15-Earl came into the event as the 46th seed but finished in 34th place while 15-Mike outperformed its 28th seed to finish 13th.

The oldest team, 18-Tee, finished tied for 11th in the USA division, while 17-Jung and 17-Brittany placed 15th in the Open division and 23rd in the American division respectively.

A5 Volleyball’s 12 participating teams in Nationals tied for the most squads from one organization with Dallas Skyline and TAV Dallas.

\A5 concluded its ninth season with the addition of A5 South, three teams earning medals at the AAU National Championships and 43 players committing to play collegiate volleyball around the nation this upcoming fall.
