While the entire team came together to pull out the victory, head coach Jim Kremer felt one player should be recognized for his work that night and how he’s progressed over the season.
That player is Josh Marshall.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pound noseman made a difference in the Nov. 9 game for the Tigers, Kremer said.
Marshall only had eight tackles on the night, but his contribution was about his leadership role, not stats, .
The senior has been described by his coach as a physical player and an unselfish teammate.
“He does his job,” Kremer said.
Marshall is a three-year starter for Adairsville and has come a long way from his first season on the team. According to Kremer, Marshall has progressed a great deal even from the beginning of this season.
“Josh has been a leader in the making this year. Early in the year he didn’t say a whole lot. Now Josh speaks up and his teammates listen,” said Kremer.
On the season, Marshall has a total of 53 tackles and four sacks.
For the second year in a row, Marshall has gone to the playoffs with his team.
