The key player for the Lady Canes throughout the playoffs was Stefanie Will.
This junior, outside hitter and blocker continued to give her all until the final whistle blew.
During two rounds of playoffs, Will racked up 10 service aces and 17 service points for a 52.6 ace percentage, and a 100 service percentage. Will also had seven kills for a hitting percentage of .400 and a kill percentage of 70.
While she was an impact player during the playoffs, she has been a major force throughout the entire season, her coach said.
“Stefanie has been a leading force on the court for us all season long. She is a dedicated player who is determined to perfect her technique through tireless work in the gym,” said head volleyball coach Camille Spradley.
As the Lady Canes prepare for next season, Will will have to get ready to lead her team with the other seniors. Spradley said she has already begun to do so.
“Stefanie has also been stepping up into a leadership role this season as she prepares for next year, and encourages her teammates no matter what the score may be. Even if we’re behind in a set, our team can always count on Stefanie to give us 150 percent effort,” Spradley said.
