Alpharetta police have arrested Omari Glenn Ryden, 28, in connection with the bomb threat this morning at North Point Mall, said George Gordon, public information officer for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

"A male called in a bomb threat to our 911 center and stated that there was a bomb at the mall and that is was our job to find it," Gordon said.

The call was a hoax and no explosive device was found, Gordon said. The police searched through over one million square feet of space at the mall this morning after receiving the anonymous bomb threat.

The mall was evacuated, and a number of employees were sent home.
