The lead catalyst in the victory was senior Glenn Hollaway, who had 19 points and nine rebounds for New Manchester. He also exerted his presence on the defensive end, taking four offensive charges against the Patriots.
Hollaway is part of a senior class that has led the team to prominence.
“Our seniors are the heart and soul of our program,” head coach David Cottrell said. “They’re tremendous leaders and the hardest workers we have. They take care of business in the classroom and act the right way.”
The leadership responsibilities set forth by the New Manchester program has been taken seriously.
“We have to set a good example for the younger players on and off the court because they follow our footsteps,” Hollaway said.
The Jaguars will return to action on Friday in a home contest against North Paulding.
