Anything with a motor has a good chance of being at Atlanta Motorama, also known as Georgia’s Motoring Festival, this spring at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

On April 26 and 27 of next year, everything from muscle cars, street rods, old school rods, race cars, sports cars, trucks, big rigs, military vehicles and vintage trailers to boats will be on display at this inaugural event.

“It’s Atlanta Motor Speedway’s version of AutoFair in Charlotte at our sister track Charlotte Motor Speedway,” said Speedway Special Events Coordinator Ted Austad. “A very successful auto fair in the spring and fall.”

“Throughout this country, there is no shortage of people who love cars and vehicles of all shapes and sizes, and we’re ecstatic about celebrating that passion with the Atlanta Motorama next April,” said Speedway President and General Manager Ed Clark. “No matter your interest in motorized vehicles, this will be an event that you won’t want to miss.”

Behind this automobile showcase is Chas Sydney, who is the owner of Show World Productions and producer of the World of Wheels show which was recently held in Atlanta, and Bruce Wilson.

“I can’t think of a better duo to help us spearhead this project of Motorama,” Austad said. “Chas and Bruce have been producing car shows for 40 years.”

“We’ve got an opportunity here to do something Georgia has never seen,” Sydney said. “We did the World of Wheels at the Georgia World Congress Center, but with the venue here at Atlanta Motor Speedway it gives us the opportunity to do things we haven’t been able to do before.”

The reason Motorama will be so different is because the market of vehicles will be wide open.

“We’re basically taking the best of the best and combining them in a super event here in Atlanta,” Sydney said. “Taking elements of the World of Wheels, Charlotte AutoFair and National Street Rods and pulling them together to give Georgia an event that it will be proud of.”

“It’s all about the motoring experience and we’re excited about this,” Wilson said. “I have a passion for motorcycles, cars and weed whackers with big carburetors on them.”

Events such as the Car Corral, Swap Meet, Manufacturers Midway, Vintage Trailer Show and the Pinstriper Panel Jam will also be a part of Motorama.

“We think we’ve got something in the works that Atlanta Motor Speedway will be proud of and all of us here in Georgia will be very proud of,” Austad said.
