The city has made preparatory arrangements and will salt and sand the roads, if needed. City personnel have coordinated with their contractor and critical equipment is on standby. The city has made preparations to pre-treat the bridges on the main roads (Ashford Dunwoody, Johnson Ferry, Clairmont, N Druid Hills, etc.) tonight after the rain has stopped and before the roadways freeze and will treat again in the morning if conditions warrant it.
Staff is also coordinating with DeKalb County emergency services about any downed trees/road blockages they receive so they can respond.
If anyone has an emergency, call 911.
