Hiram City Council members officially broke ground recently for the city of Hiram’s much-anticipated ‘Welcome to Hiram’ sign on the north side of Hwy. 278 just east of Poplar Springs Road. The sign will be a replica of the unique signage in front of the Ben Hill Strickland Sr. Memorial Park on Ga. Hwy. 92. It will also feature a LED display to scroll messages to those coming into the city. The city anticipates a completion date by this spring.
