Grace Ferry certainly has not wasted any time making an impact for the Pace swimming and diving team.

The freshman standout, in her first year at the school after moving from San Antonio, has quickly emerged as one of the top swimmers for the Knights and has already qualified for the state meet in seven individual events.

Ferry has posted state qualifying times in the 200-yard freestyle (1 minute, 57.66 seconds), 200 individual medley (2:16.49), 50 freestyle (26.09), 100 butterfly (1:01.87), 100 freestyle (55.38), 500 freestyle (5:08.23) and 100 backstroke (1:01.20).

In a tri-meet with Riverwood and Paideia Jan. 9, Ferry won the 200 freestyle (1:59.57) and 500 free (5:08.23) and teamed up with Gwynnie LaMastra, Cami Greatrex and Madison Graham to win the 200 free (1:59.57).

“We’re very happy that Grace has joined us at Pace,” coach John Ague said. “She has had a very good freshman season and we have great expectations for her.”
