The senior, who sat out her junior year after transferring from Lakeside of DeKalb, made a big impact for the Spartans as she moved to setter from her usual middle hitter position.
Green led North Springs with 517 assists as well as 212 digs to help the Spartans advance to the second round of the Class AAAAA state volleyball playoffs.
She also had 45 of her 97 kills while playing outside hitter in the last three matches of the season.
North Springs coach Heather Stafford said she is impressed by the selflessness that Green – who has made a verbal commitment to play volleyball at Emory – has shown with her willingness to change positions when the team needed it.
“She didn’t complain about it,” Stafford said. “She worked so hard in a brand new position. She loves the game. She’ll go anywhere we needed her to go. She will put in the work wherever you put her and she tries to make sure if she does something wrong, she will ask to what she can do to fix it. She is probably one of the most coachable athletes I have ever had coaching a team.”
