Volunteers can pack empty shoeboxes with small donated gift items to bring hope and love to needy kids during the holidays.

The Fickle Pickle on Canton Street in Roswell opens its barn doors Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. for volunteers.

Everyone who stops by to help will get to indulge in free fried pickles and beverages.

During the Christmas season, these gifts will be sent to needy children affected by war, famine and natural disasters in more than 100 different countries.

Information: (770) 777-9342 or go to the event’s Facebook page, Shoebox Packing Party at the Fickle Pickle.
