With local elections decided in the May 20 primary, Tuesday's runoff is dominated by key state contests.

The U.S. Senate seat from which Saxby Chambliss is retiring is sought by Republicans Jack Kingston and David Perdue for the right to face Democrat Michelle Nunn on Nov. 4.

Also on the Republican ballot, state school superintendent contenders are Michael Buck and Richard Woods.

On the Democratic ticket, Alisha T. Morgan faces Valarie D. Wilson.

Winners in each contest will vie for the seat incumbent John Barge left to run for governor.

Residents of the U.S. 10th congressional district voting a Republican ticket will choose between M.A. "Mike" Collins and Jody B. Hice.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
