The House Bills are 171, 346, 347, 441 and 442; all bills have moved onto the Senate to be voted on there.
If passed, HB 171 will do away with one of the county commission’s at-large seats and allow north Fulton to have another vote. With HB 346, the tax commissioner would become an appointed figure instead of an elected one, and with HB 347, the county commission will no longer choose the county’s elections board chairperson — state legislators would.
The superior court and state court budgets would be overseen by the court administrators under HB 441 and HB 442.
