Marist’s Greg Toboada has made quite an impression on football coaches near and far.

The War Eagles’ top flight two-way player has already received numerous offers to play collegiate ball for vaunted Division I programs the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and Stanford.

“He’s got great hands — he could be a tight end at the next level,” said War Eagles coach Alan Chadwick. “He’s done everything for us … he’s the complete package for a high school athlete.”

At 6 foot 5 and 245 pounds, Toboada plays both tight end as well as starting defensive end for a Marist squad, which has only lost once this season.

“He gets sacks, [quarterback] hurries, tackles for losses … he’s just a real force on our defensive unit,” Chadwick added.

Toboada brings a lot to the table, as the opposing coaches and players who have to account for him from week to week will attest. Still, his athletic prowess is not the only thing that Marist coaches have come to rave about.

“Academically, he’s very gifted,” said Chadwick. “He’s just a great kid, has a great personality … just a kid that’s got everything going for him.”
