Down one point with 18 seconds to play against Chattahoochee, Centennial head coach Joe Eineker drew up one last play for the win.

Point guard Christian Lynch came off a screen from Will Perry and passed the ball to Caleb Robinson. Robinson drove the baseline and swung the ball back to Perry; with two seconds to play the Knights’ senior rose up in the lane and buried the game-winner as time expired.

The bucket gave Perry 15 points in the 58-57 win and continued what has been a breakout season for the senior forward.

“Will has a knack for getting himself into the right place at the right time and that’s what he did on that play,” said Eineker of Perry’s game-winning bucket. “He’s off to a great start this year and has really improved every area of his game.”

Perry, a 6-foot-5 swingman, is a matchup problem for most defenders because of his ability to shoot from beyond the arc and attack the rim off the dribble, but the key to his senior season success according to Eineker is the attitude he brings to the court everyday.

“Will has really embraced the role of being a senior leader, he sets the tone for us at practice and his positive attitude has become contagious within our team.”
