Blessed Trinity (1-1) at Hart County (1-0): The Titans will travel to Hartwell, facing a Hart County squad that they defeated, 24-10, last season at home. Blessed Trinity opened the season with an impressive road win at Westminster, 18-0, that was highlighted by a 93-yard touchdown catch by Pat Jasinski, a one-yard quarterback sneak for a touchdown by Connor Davis and two field goals courtesy of Marc Nolan. The Titans dropper their contest to Lovett last week, 14-3. Hart County won its season opener last week over Cedar Shoals, 39-14.
Centennial (0-1) at Etowah (1-0): The Knights will visit Etowah in Woodstock, hoping to tally their first win of the season after losing the season opener at home to Roswell, 39-30. Centennial will seek revenge against an Eagles squad that shut them out in their own building, 34-0, last season. Etowah won their season opener over Lambert, 24-7.
Fellowship Christian (1-0) at Towns County (0-2): Fellowship Christian opened the season with a resounding 41-14 win over Lakeview Academy for new head coach Al Morrell. The Paladins had 367 total yards on offense and Travis Kinny had three touchdowns in the contest. Senior quarterback Hunter Bryant had 162 yards passing. The Paladins next travel to Hiawassee on Friday to face a Towns County squad that hasn’t won a game yet this season and dropped its last contest to Union County, 41-14. Fellowship Christian won last season’s game over the Indians, 17-12.
Milton (1-0) at Johns Creek (0-1): The Eagles are coming off of a thrilling 31-24 home victory over Alpharetta last week, paced by a 263-yard rushing effort by senior Treyvon Paulk along with three touchdowns on 28 rushing attempts. His last rush, an eight-yard score in overtime, sealed the victory for Milton. Johns Creek dropped its season opener on Aug. 23 to Woodstock, 34-6.
The Gladiators’ lone score came on an eight-yard touchdown pass from Kevin Nalecz to Cody Hardage. Johns Creek won last season’s meeting against Milton 14-9.
St. Francis (1-1) at King’s Ridge (1-0): The Knights earned their first win of the season with an impressive 47-14 win over Mt. Vernon Presbyterian last Friday. King’s Ridge also entered the win column in its season opener, defeating Pinecrest Academy, 34-10.
The Tigers shut out the Knights 49-0 last season and own a lifetime series lead of 3-0 over St. Francis.
Mt. Pisgah (1-0) at Model (1-0): Mt. Pisgah won its season opener over Mt. Vernon 48-14 led by junior quarterback Aaron Winchester, who had a combined 279 total yards in the contest and threw three touchdown passes. Model won its first game of the season with a 35-28 victory over Christian Heritage. Mt. Pisgah defeated Model, 24-13, last season.
Lambert (0-1) at Roswell (1-0): The Hornets earned their first win under new head coach John Ford last week with a 39-30 win over Centennial. Senior quarterback Matt Cory threw three touchdown passes while running backs Kendrick Jackson and Shakur Jackson each added one rushing score. Senior kicker Shavi Bash added two field goals in the Hornets’ win. The Longhorns dropped their season opener to Etowah, 24-7. Lambert defeated Roswell, 19-17, last season.
