The city of Milton now has a Rotary Club to call its own. With a legacy of making a difference in the local community, 11-year-old Windward Rotary Club recently adopted a new moniker to include the city of Milton.

Rotarian President Elect, Tom Hobby, a local Milton business owner, recognized the need for Rotary to establish roots in this thriving City.

President Mike Swago and the 29 members of the existing active Windward Club were up for the challenge.

All business professionals in the City of Milton are invited to visit The Milton-Windward Club. Meetings are one hour on Mondays at noon for lunch at the Marriott on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta.

Swago and members welcomed the name change and 2013-14 District 6900 leaders at recent club meetings.

The club works with nonprofits, such as the Drake House, YMCA and North Fulton Community Charities.

Ongoing activities include local high school scholarships, dictionary project, teacher and student recognition and international literacy projects.
