Mattress’

North Paulding High School Fine Arts Department will present “Once Upon a Mattress” today and Friday at 7 p.m., and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the school at 300 North Paulding Drive in Dallas.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 general admission.

‘Sound of Music’

The Hiram High School Chorus and Drama departments will present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music” in the school’s theater / performing arts center today through Sunday.Performances are set for today, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.; and Sunday at 2 p.m.Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students, and are only available at the door.

‘Annie’ in Dallas

The Main Street Players present the musical “Annie” at the Dallas Theater and Civic Center Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are now on sale at theater’s box office and online at www.dallastheater-civiccenter.com for $12 regular tickets, $9 discount tickets which include seniors 62 and older, children, students military with ID, and groups of 10 or more.

Bluegrass benefit

Cousins for a Cure cancer fundraiser will be held Saturday at Raccoon Creek Music Park, 332 Music Park Path, Dallas.Music will be from 12:30 to 9 p.m. The event will feature bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music, BBQ plates and other food, and plenty of fun and fellowship.

Admission is a $10 donation, with all proceeds going to The American Cancer Society. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.

Benefit concert

New Canaan Baptist Church will host a benefit concert for cancer victim Janet Rackley Crow Saturday at 7 p.m. at the church at 3147 Atlanta Hwy. in Dallas.The music of 12 different Southern gospel groups will be featured at the event, which will feature the likeness of each group or performer as their music is played.Crow, a West Virginia resident, is the daughter of the Rev. Don Rackley and Elaine Rackley of Dallas. Admission is free, but a “love offering” will be taken for Crow.

'Legally Blonde’

Paulding County High School presents “Legally Blonde, The Musical” April 25, 26 and 27 at 7 p.m., and April 28 at 3 p.m.Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door.
