Republican Precinct Mass Meetings set for Feb. 9 at Mt. Tabor Park

On Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. the Paulding County Republican Party will convene Precinct Mass Meetings to elect delegates and alternates to the Paulding County Republican Party Convention, the group announced last week.

All Paulding County residents who are legally registered to vote, and believe in the principles of the Republican Party are urged to participate in this process, according to a release from the organization.

Registration is free and will open at 9 a.m. Feb. 9 with the precinct meeting beginning at 10 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Park at 1550 East Paulding Drive. For more information contact Joseph Gullett, chairman of the Paulding County Republican Party at (770) 443-1648 or email info@pauldingrepublicans.com.

Also the Paulding County Republican Party Convention will convene March 9 at 10 a.m. in the cafeteria of the Government Complex Building, 240 Constitution Blvd. in Dallas. The purpose will be to elect delegates and alternate delegates to the 14th Congressional District Convention and the State Convention. Additionally, the convention will be adopting the rules of the Paulding County Republican Party and electing officers for the 2013-15 term. Delegates and alternates will be required to pay a fee of $15, which is to cover the cost of the convention.

The 14th Congressional District Convention will convene April 20 at 10 a.m., with a location to be determined, the Paulding party reported. The district convention will be adopting rules for the 14th District Republican Party of Georgia and electing officers for the 2013-2015 term. The Convention also will elect district members to the State Committee of the Georgia Republican Party. Delegates, alternates and guests will be required to pay a fee, which is to cover the cost of the convention. More information can be found at www.gagop9.org.

The Georgia Republican Party State Convention will convene May 17 though 18 at the Classic Center in Athens, and will elect the Georgia Republican Party state officers and conduct all other business as necessary.
