Riverwood senior lacrosse player Preston Stewart was selected as the winner of the Legacy Lacrosse Leadership Award at the Legacy Lacrosse Cup tournament in Atlanta April 12 and 13.

The honor is presented to the player who personifies the tournament’s three pillars — camaraderie, competitiveness and character — as recognized by their coaches and teammates.

“Preston exemplifies camaraderie, competitiveness and character in everything he does,” Riverwood community coach Lou Corsetti said in a statement. “He is always working to have a positive impact on our team, school and our community. We are proud to have Preston honored with this prestigious leadership award.”

This fall Stewart will attend Berry College in Rome, where he will play both lacrosse and football.
