I Do and I’m Done is not your everyday bridal boutique. For brides looking to save money or time or are even conscious about saving material during alternations, this charming shop in historic Roswell is the place to go.

The boutique is an upscale consignment shop with dresses that range in price from $300 to $3,000 and in size from 0 to 24. The prices are about 50 to 75 percent off average retail costs, said owner Maria Sullivan.

The selection includes vintage dresses from as far back as 1938, she said, and what is in stock is constantly changing.

“Because we’re getting consignment dresses from so many different brides, our selection is a whole lot more diverse than a bridal shop,” said consultant Wanda Matz.

She added the taboo of buying a once-worn wedding dress is passé.

Besides the cost, another advantage of shopping at I Do and I’m Done is that unlike your typical boutique where brides try on a sample dress and wait four to six months to receive the gown in their measurements, women who select their dress from the shop can go home with it that day, Matz said.

The boutique also has a seamstress and designer on staff, Sullivan said, who can tailor dresses to fit an individual’s liking. The alteration process only takes about two to three weeks, she said.

“We are a quick turnaround-style store,” she said.

When alterations are requested, the shop reuses the material from the dresses, sometimes fashioning it into garters or ring bearer pillows, Sullivan said.

“As far as bridal stores, we’re probably one of the most ‘green,’” she said. “We don’t throw anything away.”

I Do and I’m Done also carries a variety of accessories. Located adjacent to its sister shop Vintage and Vogue on Atlanta Street, the consignment boutique also has dresses for the mother of the bride and flower girls.

The bridal store will celebrate a grand re-opening Friday at noon since relocating just across the street about a month ago after outgrowing its original location.
