Smith, a lifelong Hampton resident, comes to the Neighbor after a two-year stint working in advertising at a smaller publication in McDonough. Smith graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in journalism and is a Henry County High School alum.
“I really love my job and the fact that I’m able to bring affordable advertising options to small local businesses,” Smith said. “It’s also a really good feeling knowing that you’re helping to bring Henry County citizens a free local newspaper every week.”
According to Neighbor Newspapers Vice President of Advertising Wade Stephens, Smith is a natural fit for the Henry Neighbor.
“Cristy lives in Hampton and has grown up all her life in Henry County. She is community-minded and knows and loves this area,” Stephens said. “Cristy has a proven track record in sales and I look forward to seeing what she brings to the Henry Neighbor.”
