Top 3 schools in Paulding Kid Run can win Wii, mascot visit

Organizers are offering special prizes to participants who show their school spirit at the Paulding Pep Rally 5K Run/Walk and Kid Run April 20 at 8 a.m.

The top three elementary schools with the most registrants including parents, kids, teachers, friends or anyone who want to support the school, will win a Wii for their physical education department or Freddie the Falcon visit for their school.

United Healthcare and United Health Foundation will present the event, which will start at the Hiram Trailhead of the Silver Comet Trail. All proceeds from this event will benefit Paulding County schools.

The event is still in need of volunteers to help distribute water and at road crossings. Please contact to volunteer.

The Paulding Education Foundation, founded and incorporated in 2006, is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting excellence in education in the Paulding County School District. The foundation currently manages six local scholarships and provides yearly grants to local schools.
