The Paulding County branch in Dallas will host its egg hunt on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m., and Crossroads’ hunt is set for March 28 at 11:30 a.m. Both libraries will have a short story time to lead into the hunts, said Shawna Vance, children’s specialist of Paulding, and Kristen Milton, children’s specialist of Crossroads.
The free event is designed for children, most of which will be ages 2 to 5 years old, Milton said.
“That is usually the age we get at story time,” she said.
Vance said she thinks Paulding will have around 30 attendees. And Milton said she is hoping for around 50 children.
“It is a fun, carefree educational event,” Vance said.
Paulding library will provide 100 eggs and have parents bringing in some eggs as well, she said.
“We will definitely have enough for everybody,” Milton said.
Vance said events like the hunt let children and parents know what the library has to offer.
“I want them to realize the library is not just a place for books — we can have fun, too,” Milton said.
Paulding Library is located at 1010 East Memorial Drive in Dallas. Crossroads is at 909 Harmony Grove Church Road in the Acworth section of northeast Paulding County.
