The Women’s Entrepreneurial Exchange, headquartered in Douglasville, will celebrate its first year with entertainment and enlightenment, starting at 7 p.m. Friday with an awards gala at the Hilton Garden Inn at 110 Interstate West Parkway in Lithia Springs.

Walter Bland and his ensemble will provide live smooth jazz. Bland has performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and created the theme for the HBO series “Oz.”

“Our first annual WEE Awards Ceremony will acknowledge those individuals that embody the philosophy of community involvement, community service and commitment,” said founder Trudy Holdman.

WEE is an organization of businesswomen and entrepreneurs who have aggregated their experience, knowledge and knowhow into a workable formula for individual success.

On Saturday, WEE will offer a day of workshops and group sessions for taking your enterprise to the next level. Guests will include financial expert, entrepreneur and marketing guru Cathy Hankinson, and Mike Wesley, the creator, designer and the developer of The Web Cartel traffic control software.

To purchase tickets for $60 (or $35 for gala only), call Judy Brantley or Felicia Bryant at (678) 852-3981.

Information: call (678) 949-8454 or trudy@officialgowee.com.
