Douglas County state, county Republican candidate forum set for June 25

The Douglas County Republican Party is set to host a candidate forum June 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sutton Hall in Douglasville, chairman Bert Blood announced last week.

Sutton Hall is at the intersection of Highway 5 and Sutton Drive, about 1.25 miles south of I-20.

Candidates invited to participate include:

- Douglas County Commission Chairman: Tom Worthan (incumbent) and Rita Rainwater.

- Georgia House District 66: Mike Miller, Bob Snelling and Mickey Thompson.

- Douglas County School Board, District 1: Carol Lindstrom.

- Douglas County SchoolBoard, District 5: Jeff Morris (incumbent)

- Douglas County Sheriff: Phil Miller (incumbent)

- Douglas County Clerk of Superior Court: Rhonda Payne (incumbent)

- Douglas County Tax Commissioner: Todd Cowan (incumbent)

The primary election is set for July 31.
