Registration open for mayor’s challenge race

For 16 years, the Rotary Club of Alpharetta and the city of Alpharetta have hosted the Alpharetta Mayor’s Challenge Race. July 20, they will partner again to hold the first evening 5K race, complete with a fun run, block party and movie night.

The event has moved to the Historic Downtown streets across from Alpharetta City Hall at 2 South Main Street Registration is $25 if received by July 2 and $30 from July 2 until race day. Registration can be done in person at Big Peach Running Co. or online at www.active.com.

The race check-in begins at Milton Avenue, along with the party, food, libations and sponsor booths. The race will be followed by a fun run sponsored by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and 5K race. Once all the races are over the free family friendly movie will air on the inflatable big screen.

All participants will receive a technical t-shirt and awards will be given to male and female winners in the 10 year age brackets and to the top overall male/female.
