For the 2013 general election candidates, candidates running for election to an Atlanta City Council district or at-large seat must be a resident of the City of Atlanta, as well as a resident of the particular district(s) for a minimum of year before Aug. 27 through 30, 2013.
Additionally, all registered general election voters for the 2013 city council district representatives general election voters will vote in the newly drawn council districts during the city's general election Nov. 5, 2013 and in any necessary general run-off election Dec. 4, 2013.
The newly drawn council district will be effective Jan. 1, 2014 and the same requirements apply to the Atlanta Board of Education candidates and at-large seats.
