Sugarman, who obtained her children’s yoga certification in 2006, developed Playful Yoga with Ally Peer Ben Ezzer in 2008.
Sugarman will host the certification program Sept. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Temple Kehillat Chaim, 1145 Green Street, Roswell.
Previous yoga experience is not necessary.
Playful Yoga, meant for 2- to 6-year-olds, contains elements of stretching, aerobic movement, breathing games for self-calming, songs, poems and pose games.
It also strives to reinforce attention, concentration, imitation and patience — all done with playfulness and imagination.
Sugarman works with parents and trains childcare providers across Georgia in a variety of child development topics, including yoga.
She maintains a pediatric hypnosis practice and combines the mindfulness of communication with Playful Yoga in this training to empower parents and teachers with new physical activities and communication insights.
The training program includes certification as a Playful Yoga instructor, a Playful Yoga training DVD and a manual of poses and movements.
Those who attend will learn tools for adult stress, movements, poses, breathing games, business aspects as a yoga teacher and more.
