Construction and maintenance work will also be underway on several state routes around metro Atlanta throughout the weekend.
All weekend, two left lanes will be closed eastbound from Cobb Parkway to Powers Ferry Road and two right lanes will be closed westbound from Ashford Dunwoody to Riverside Drive. Crews will also close and reopen several ramps along the top end.
“It will be a difficult drive across the top end this weekend,” said GDOT District Construction Engineer Lee Upkins. “Avoid it if possible, but if you have to go through there, give yourself extra time.”
