Nagle, a 6 foot 2 middle blocker, is among the players to watch as the Lady War Eagles take on Columbus at home in today’s GHSA semifinal round.
The senior leads Marist in multiple crucial categories, including blocks, total kills and kill percentage. She is also among the team leaders in service aces.
“Alex is one of the few players on the team that plays club volleyball,” Marist coach Kendall Reid-Webster said. “She has a great work ethic and has a great attitude.
“She is not necessarily the go-to player on the team, but she is a player that the other players look to put the ball away.”
Nagle is part of a talented lineup that has weathered its share of ups and downs this season. The team has gotten this far on the back of its brand of diligent defense — executed in impressive fashion by Nagle and company.
Unselfish play, work ethic and a team-first mentality has already brought the senior a long way. Finishing her prep career by going out on top is a goal within reach.
