Aside from the headlining presidential election, Georgia voters will have a chance to vote for or against an amendment to the state constitution allowing state or local approval of public charter schools at a community’s request. Another proposed amendment would be to allow the General Assembly to authorize multiyear rental agreements for certain state agencies.
Roswell residents will also have a chance to vote on a bond referendum to borrow $14.7 million for various projects including the intersection at Holcomb Bridge Road and Ga. 400, a new fire station and new fields and park facilities.
Advance voting will continue through Friday at several locations. In north Fulton, voters can vote early at the Ocee Branch Library at 5090 Abbotts Bridge Road in Johns Creek from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Nov. 2. There will be no early voting Monday and voters can check for their normal polling locations at the My Voter Page on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website should they choose to wait until Tuesday and vote on Election Day.
Voters need to bring a valid form of identification in order to vote. Accepted forms of identification are a Georgia driver’s license, any valid state or federal government issued photo ID, a valid U.S. passport, a valid employee photo ID from any U.S. Government, Georgia or other municipality entity, a valid U.S. military photo ID or a valid tribal photo ID. If a voter does not have one of these items they can obtain a free Voter ID card at the Georgia Department of Driver’s Services.
