Davis remains in lead for Brookhaven mayor; Lord and Gebbia close for District 4 council seat

With 8 of 12 precincts reporting, J. Max Davis remains in lead, although with less than 50 percent, with 49.43 percent of the vote; Sandy Murray is close by in second with 35.51 percent.

For District 1 City Council, Rebecca Chase Williams remains in the lead with 44.59 percent, Alan Cole trails with 19.80 percent.

Jim Eyre remains in front for District 2 with 55.23 percent of the vote with 3 of 4 precincts reporting.

In the crowded District 3 race for city council, Kevin Quirk still leads with 22.29 percent; Bates Mattison comes close in second with 21.44 percent.

With only 1 precinct reporting for the District 4 city council race, numbers remain close between Karen Lord, who has 36.74 percent and Joe Gebbia, who has 36.67 percent.


With only early voting, in person numbers through the DeKalb County Voter Registration & Elections office — below are early leads in the races for mayor and city council of Georgia’s newest municipality.

J. Max Davis showed an early lead with early voting, garnering 2,476 votes in the mayoral race. For District 1 City Council, Rebecca Chase Williams stepped out in front with 1,030 votes. Jim Eyre leads with 430 of the in-person, early voting numbers for District 2 City Council. For the crowded District 3 City Council race, Kevin Quirk is ahead so far with 312 of the in person, early voting numbers. Karen Lord has seen an early lead with 289 votes for the District 4 City Council race.
