The concert will feature Christmas music of Michael W. Smith and a mix of traditional, contemporary and classical music of the season by Joseph Haydn, John Rutter, Felix Mendelssohn, and more. It will include a 40-piece orchestra in addition to singers and ringers from the church’s Chancel Choir and the Carillon bell choir. Early seating is recommended both evenings.
“We are really looking forward to this concert. It’s going to be a fun Christmas program for all who attend,” said RPC Director of Music Ministries Bruce Graham. “Our choirs have a great deal of heart and knowing that we are reaching out to invite our neighbors only encourages them more.”
Proceeds from a special offering at the concert will go to support Music Mission Kiev, an organization dedicated to bringing the sacred masterpieces of classical music to the country of Ukraine, proclaiming the Gospel to and through Ukrainian musicians to the world and offering humanitarian aid to widows and orphans.
“Roswell Presbyterian has been a mission-minded church since our founding in 1839. The fact that our Christmas concert is part of that story is particularly exciting,” said Dr. Lane Alderman, Pastor at Roswell Presbyterian Church. “It’s going to be an unforgettable evening of music.”
