Deadline approaching for youth summit

The free Color Me Confident Youth Empowerment summit is scheduled for Feb. 9 at the College Park Public Safety building in Community Room No. 302. The goal of the summit is to prepare youth to cope with life’s many challenges. During this event, youth will participate in the following segments — relationship building, life skills training, health and nutrition, teen dating violence prevention, skits and panel discussions. Registration is required for the event, which is sponsored by Healing in His Wings, Mercy Missionary Faith Church, Harvest Lodge Home & Services, Mercy Health Operations and Healing Your Life.

The College Park Public Safety Building is at 3717 College St., in College Park.
