The 5-foot-7-inch junior point guard has put together an impressive string of five games in which she has averaged about 13 points a game.
Linginfelter especially came through in a big way in Westminster’s 68-32 victory over Hapeville Jan. 18, when she scored a career-high 27 points in only 15 minutes of play.
For the season, she ranked second on the team in scoring with 7.3 points a game and was also averaging five rebounds, four steals and three assists per contest as of last Friday.
“She doesn’t know how to play any other way, except 100 percent,” Westminster coach Heather Karvis said. “She plays hard every single game. She’s smart — she can anticipate plays and get steals like crazy. She put in a lot of hard work during the offseason and went to a bunch of camps. She worked hard on weights and agility and she has really stepped up for us.”
Linginfelter is also a standout on the Westminster girls’ soccer team and is a NCAA Division I prospect in that sport.
