DeKalb school board to meet Friday to approve separation with Atkinson

The DeKalb County Board of Education will meet Friday at 4 p.m. for a called meeting. The board will first adjurn to executive session to discuss legal and personnel matters.

Afterwards, the board will reconvene to an open session where they will vote to approve a separation agreement with Superintendent Cheryl Atkinson.

The board will then vote to approve an employment agreement with an interim superintendent.

The meeting will be at the Robert Freeman Administrative Center, 1701 Mountain Industrial Blvd. in Stone Mountain.
