Lindsey Reed’s impact on the court for Woodland cannot be overstated.

The senior combo guard’s play has been rock solid all season.

The 5 foot 6 backcourt dynamo is averaging around 16 points per game, but that is just scratching the surface.

“Offensively she is fearless,” said Lady Wolfpack coach Ashley Maddox. “She wants the ball and she wants to take the shot.

“Some may see it as selfish, but those who know us know that we need her confidence and leadership in the scoring category.”

Reed has been getting the job done on both ends of the court.

“Defensively she is quick and knows her assignments,” Maddox pointed out. “We can count on her being in the right place to make a big play.”

Reed is the consummate student-athlete — a trait that allows for a seamless transition from classroom to the hardwood and vice versa.

“Lindsey has a 4.0 GPA and that translates to the court,” said Maddox. “She has become a student of the game.

“She only needs one time instructions and then she can communicate those instructions to her teammates — making her a clear captain of this team.”
