The two winning organizations, will receive an office equipment makeover, with a combined total value of $35,000.
The Callanwolde Foundation — Callanwolde Fine Arts Center — is the only art center among the 10 nonprofit finalists. The technology makeover may include, but is not limited to: a black and white and/or color multifunction device, telephone equipment, IT consulting services, ongoing networking support and other technologies to make the office run more efficiently.
Callanwolde serves 23,000 people yearly and relies on grants and donations to keep class tuition low and to enable its community outreach programs to help senior wellness, special needs and lower income families.
The public is invited to vote online at www.milner.com/ jumpstart, where they can cast one vote per day and can also support their favorite organization using the “Give and Vote” option.
For every $5 contribution to their favorite nonprofit, the organization will receive one vote in the contest. There is no limit to the number of votes that can be cast in the “Give and Vote” method. The nonprofit from each of the two contest categories with the most votes wins the combined $35,000 technology makeover.
“This is our way of thanking nonprofit organizations in metro Atlanta for the work they do in providing charitable services in our communities,” said Charlie Gibson, vice president of Milner, Inc. “This contest enables us to give back to the communities in which we do business — an endeavor for which we are very proud.”
The contest will close on March 10, at which time all votes will be counted and the nonprofit in each category with the most votes will win an office technology makeover. The two nonprofit winners will be announced the week of March 25.
