The Bulldogs standout demonstrated his all-around worth during a masterful performance against North Springs last month.
McKay’s no-hit performance on the mound propelled Chamblee to a 12-0 blanking of the visitors. The junior tossed five complete innings en route to registering the no-no — striking out five while only walking one batter.
He also came up big at the plate, going three for four with five RBI, three runs scored, a homerun, a triple and one stolen base.
McKay’s outing was nothing short of spectacular. He already appears to be in mid-season form, a scary thought for opposing pitchers and batters alike.
Look for the Bulldogs to lean on McKay and the rest of their talented roster en route to making a lot of noise in Class AAAA play this season.
