Don’t look now but Union Grove is on a tear.

The Lady Wolverines are undefeated through their first seven contests. What’s even more impressive is how they’re winning.

Coach Cody Guined’s squad had yet to give up a goal heading into play this week. What’s more, the club put up 10 goals in each of its first five matches — the victims of said onslaught being Woodland, Mundy’s Mill, Mt. Zion, Forest Park and Creekside.

The Lady Wolverines went on to prove last week that they could also win a tight match … as they did in topping Newnan 2-0 on March 8. They got back to winning in more decisive fashion the very next day, stopping Luella 5-0.

Things are looking just as good on the boys’ side.

Wolverines coach Mark Matthews’ club has gotten off to a 6-0 start — including a 3-0 record in region play.

Stingy defense — only four goals allowed — and opportunistic offense have served Union Grove well thus far.
