The junior forward has provided plenty of offensive firepower for the Wildcats, leading the team with 16 goals as of last Friday.
Lingenfelter has had five multi-goal games this season, including a four-goal effort in a 9-1 victory over Oconee County April 9.
Westminster coach Clark Meyer is impressed with Lingenfelter’s knack of putting the ball in the goal.
“We call her ‘the magician,’” Meyer said. “She seems to conjure up spectacular goals and winning goals out of nothing. It’s really fun to watch her go.”
Meyer said Lingenfelter has developed as a key player the last couple of years.
“She really emerged as an impact player last year,” Meyer said. “And, this year, it’s been another year of maturity and confidence for her. She has really been something.”
In addition to soccer, Lingenfelter also plays on the Westminster girls’ basketball team.
