Among the highlights of Tucker’s junior campaign was his stellar contribution in helping the Jaguars win the 2013 DeKalb County Track and Field Championship, the program’s first in a decade.
Tucker turned in a gold medal winning performance in the 100-meter dash, blasting past the field with a time of 10.86 seconds.
Should he return for his senior season, Tucker could be a legitimate contender for region and state gold.
By all accounts, he has all the physical tools … and, experience plus natural-born speed could very well put him over the top.
Still, he is but one key cog for the Jaguars. The squad’s roster —featuring some savvy veterans and talented athletes waiting in the wings — is poised to make even more noise in 2014.
Count Tucker among those with the potential to lead the way.
