The Johns Creek Public Works Department will begin construction this month on a second northbound lane on Jones Bridge Road from Addison Way to Douglas Road.

Public Works Director Tom Black said the project will mirror last year’s southbound lane addition.

Further construction is planned for Jones Bridge Road later this year, including additional turn lanes at the intersections of Jones Bridge and Buice, Morton and Waters roads. Sidewalk projects are also planned.

The northbound lane expansion, which covers about a third of a mile, is set to be finished by July 31.
