Burpees, a dynamic exercise made popular by personal trainers, are traditionally used to shed fat, build muscle, and quickly bring about exhaustion. Local personal training businesss, Fitness Revolution Roswell, will host Burpees for a Cause June 22, a fundraiser fitness challenge in support of The Drake House.

Similar to a walk-a-thon, participants will collect pledges for their efforts. Instead of walking for hours, they will have 90 seconds to complete as many burpees as possible.

This free challenge is open to the public.

Fitness Revolution Roswell owner, Andre Coman said he supports The Drake House because of the care it gives to women and their children in north metro Atlanta, providing short-term crisis housing, education, and empowerment.

This local charity fitness challenge is part of an international event that will allow dozens of personal training and youth training franchise locations to stage identical events June 22, all in support of their own chosen causes.

The event itself is part of an eight-week international charity fundraiser campaign called Revolution for a Cause. FR International has set a goal of $75,000 for the 2-month campaign.

“With so many locations worldwide, we’re in a position to make a real difference. We wanted to have fun with fitness while allowing everyone to choose their own cause, making it that much more personal for everyone involved,” said FR International President Nick Berry.
