Rotary International honors Alpharetta club

The Rotary Club of Alpharetta attended the Rotary International Conference and brought back awards for their service and projects for the 2012-2013 year.

The Rotary Club of Alpharetta is in the 6900 District along with 68 other clubs in Category III.

The awards received are as follows:

Best Vocational Services Club Leadership Plan Award as a result of the club’s Entrepreneurship Through Rotary Project

Best Community Service Club Leadership Plan Award as a result of the club’s Special Pops Tennis Round Robin project

Animals to People Award to recognize the club’s monetary donations to support canine research and horses in Milton

Best Financial Support of the Rotary Foundation Award

Cart Award in recognition of the most cart funds collected for Alzheimer’s Foundation

Rotary Club of Alpharetta President Bill Weeks received the Governor’s Citation Award

Rotary Club of Alpharetta President Bill Weeks also received the Sheffield Leadership award. One president from each category has received the award since 1994.

Bill is the fifth president in the Alpharetta Club to win it in 19 years.
