In a news release, the European School of Music, in Sandy Springs, announced it will present a piano concert Sunday at 6 p.m. The event, which celebrates the nonprofit school’s 20th anniversary, is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature Lan-Anh Vo, a graduating honor student, multiple first-place winner in performance competitions and recipient of Convention Recitalist and Outstanding Performer awards at local and state competitions. She will perform works of Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Ravel and Ginastera.

Over the past 20 years, the school has been providing residents of Atlanta with musical concerts and instruction for children and adults. It has unique teaching methods, which follow the fundamental principles of classical pedagogy, and the heritage of world-renowned composers and music performers.

In celebration of its anniversary, the school has developed a new program, Beyond Tutoring … Improving Academics, which includes combination lessons, such as piano-voice, piano-chess, chess-math, piano-chess-math, voice-language arts, voice-music theatre and acting-social skills-literacy. This program focuses on improvement in academics for elementary school students through an enjoyable and easy to understand approach. These lessons will be offered during the summer.

Led by founder and Director Angela Oyzboyd, the school is located at 5187 Roswell Road.
