A benefit for Paulding County High School student Nick Carney, who was seriously injured in a May 17 wreck, is set for June 4 and 12 in two restaurants in Paulding.

The June 12 event is scheduled from 4 to 9 p.m. at Texas Roadhouse restaurant at 140 Depot Drive in Hiram. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of proceeds to benefit Carney.

In addition, an event for Carney is set for June 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chick-fil-A in Dallas near the intersection of highways 61 and 278. For each person who signs in at the table to designate they want to contribute to Carney, Chick-fil-A will donate 10 percent of sales to Carney’s family.
