An emerging global leader in golf entertainment, TopGolf, is coming to the Alpharetta community. Alpharetta will be the company’s 11th location worldwide and the first in Georgia.

“Alpharetta is one of the main corporate and technology centers in the Southeast, so TopGolf will fit right into the city’s culture with our entertaining, high-tech golf experience,” TopGolf chief development officer Randy Starr said in a statement.

The 65,000-sqaure-foot facility will offer competitive golfing games for all ages and skill levels. The advanced technology will be able to track each player’s shot and those who choose not to participate in the golf experience can enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. The facility will house more than 230 high-definition flat-screen televisions, along with a wide variety of food and beverages crafted by executive chef Mark Boyton.

Starr estimates that the three-story building will serve about 400,000 people in its first year. TopGolf has also been creating hundreds of jobs in the economy since 2000 and the economic output in Alpharetta alone is expected to exceed $264.5 million over a 10 year period, according to a third-party audit.

TopGolf will be at 1050 Westside Parkway and is expected to open to the public in spring 2014. To track TopGolf’s site progress or to find out more visit: alpharetta.
